POLINA CHUBAROVA

Polina Chubarova is a rising junior at George Washington University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in International Affairs with a concentration in Europe and a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a minor in Data Science. She believes that in 250 years, America will be able to advertise Mars as a vacation destination for an average American. Polina has embraced the challenges and opportunities of democracy by chasing democracy her whole life. She had yearned to live, study, and work in a country with a democratic backbone such as the United States, she is embracing a part of the dream by being an extraordinary fellow at mtf.tv. She had worked with CEPA, and was very prevalent on her campus before starting the fellowship. So far MTF has allowed Polina to collaborate on events with high profile guests such as the deputy secretary of state, various congressmen, as well as former and current chairmen of EXIM bank. The fellowship also allowed her to learn from the leadership of reputable organizations such as EXIM Bank, ALI, Substack Politics, The Global Situation Room, and more. One day, Polina hopes to provide the knowledge and skills from this and future fellowships back to Ukraine by opening an NGO and rebuilding her home country. You can find her here.

ANNA MAAG

Anna Maag is a rising junior at George Washington University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs with a concentration in Security Policy and a minor in Journalism & Mass Communication. She believes that in 250 years, America’s national parks will be home to a whole generation of different species. She is the Vice President of Internal Affairs at the Delta Phi Epsilon Foreign Service Society. Anna has embraced life's challenges and opportunities by seizing every chance democracy has afforded her. As the daughter of immigrants she believes in American global leadership and the importance of American democracy not just as an ideal but also in practice. MTF enabled Anna’s event collaborations with esteemed guests like the deputy secretary of state, congressmen, and EXIM bank's former/current chairmen. It facilitated her learning from prestigious organizations' leadership including EXIM Bank, ALI, Substack Politics, The Global Situation Room, and others. BROCK DODDS

Brock Dodds is a rising second-year at George Washington University, where he studies economics, international affairs, and geographic information systems. He is particularly interested in international development, urban planning, and civic education. He has conducted economic research for the Federal Reserve Challenge and has coached a high school debate team to the national championship tournament. Democracy has been absolutely essential to his growth and development, as it has allowed him to harness his talents to effect real change. Combining this with a future-facing outlook, he is ready to apply democratic values to solve the problems of the future. He embraces democracy to meet the future’s challenges and opportunities by advocating for sustainable urban planning in his home state of Minnesota and working to reduce inequity in speech and debate. GRANT HOSCHEIT

Grant Hoscheit is a rising Junior at William & Mary pursuing a B.A in Government with a minor in history. He is also planning to attend law school to pursue a J.D after graduating from undergrad. He is fascinated by politics and has spent much of his career doing political work. Grant worked on Senator Warner’s (D-VA) reelection campaign in 2020, and Former Governor McCauliffe’s (D-VA) campaign in 2021. During the summer of 2023 Grant interned for Congressman Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ) in his DC office on capitol hill. He hopes to continue working in politics in the future and make real change whether through the electoral or legislative processes.
