Billionaire and public health advocate Mike Bloomberg on Tuesday excoriated Robert F. Kennedy Jr., President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for U.S. health secretary, over his anti-vaccine record and urged the Senate to reject his bid to lead the nation’s top health agencies.
“Just imagine if RFK Jr. had been in office during Trump’s first term,” Bloomberg said at the Bloomberg American Health Summit in Washington D.C.
“Would Operation Warp Speed have even happened? And if it did, how long would the vaccines have been delayed? How many fewer people would have gotten the shot? How many more people would have died?”
“All we can say for sure is this: It would have made Covid even more deadly and even more economically painful,” he said.

AMAZON IS MAKING A SUPER-COMPUTUER… TO TAKE ON NVIDIA. WSJ with the scoop: Amazon Web Services (AWS) is taking on Nvidia with "Ultracluster," a massive AI supercomputer built from hundreds of thousands of Trainium chips designed in-house. Set to launch in 2025 as part of Project Rainier, this cluster will power AI startup Anthropic and rival the largest systems for training AI models globally.
AWS also unveiled Ultraserver, a high-performance server featuring 64 interconnected Trainium chips, alongside Apple as its newest chip customer. These moves are part of Amazon’s strategy to cut AI costs, reduce reliance on Nvidia, and dominate the $193 billion AI semiconductor market expected by 2027.
WALL STREET INCHES HIGHER TO RECORDS. NEW YORK (AP) — U.S. stocks tiptoed to more records amid a mixed Tuesday of trading, tacking a touch more onto what’s already been a stellar year so far.
The S&P 500 edged up by 2 points, or less than 0.1%, to set an all-time high for the 55th time this year. It’s climbed in 10 of the last 11 days and is on track for one of its best years since the turn of the millennium.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 76 points, or 0.2%, while the Nasdaq composite added 0.4% to its own record set a day earlier.
GOOD DAY: SALESFORCE, via CNBC: “Salesforce shares were up 5% on Tuesday after the company reported its fiscal third-quarter earnings, reporting revenue and fiscal fourth-quarter guidance that exceeded analysts’ expectations.”
