🏔️💵 JACKSON HOLE FALLOUT: As we reported last week, Fed Chair Jerome Powell indicated in Jackson Hole on Friday that a rate cut is “highly likely.” But he now faces a new fight: proving the Fed is acting on the data — not caving to pressure from President Trump.

—> POWELL’S VIEW: Growth has slowed to 1.2%. Job demand is cooling. He says cuts may be needed to keep people working. But tariffs are still lifting prices — so the Fed must move carefully.

—> INDEPENDENCE AT STAKE: Economists warn that if the Fed looks like it’s bowing to Trump, its credibility could crack. Powell avoided even mentioning “independence” in his Jackson Hole speech — a quiet way of saying the Fed won’t be bullied.

Bottom Line: Powell opened the door to cuts — but he’s trying to keep politics out. The Fed’s next move will test its independence as much as its policy.

MONEY TALKS // MTF PREVIEW FOR THE FUTURE <3

THE END OF MONEY? OpenAI just dropped the plot twist of the summer: Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) could make money obsolete. Yeah, gone. Poof. End credits.

THE WARNING: In a note to investors, OpenAI said it’s “difficult to know what role money will play in a post-AGI world.” Translation: if machines can think, build, and invent better than us… why would dollars even matter?

THE BUBBLE: Sam Altman admits we’re in an AI bubble — “smart people get overexcited about a kernel of truth.” But here’s the kicker: he also says AI is “the most important thing to happen in a very long time.” Bubble or not, the hype train isn’t slowing.

THE BIG MONEY: SoftBank is chasing it anyway — leading a funding round at a $300B valuation. Employees are cashing out at a $500B valuation. It’s starting to look less like Silicon Valley and more like a Marvel multiverse.

WHAT’S AGI? Think of AI today as a calculator — smart, but narrow. AGI is the whole brain. It’s intelligence that works across any task: learning, reasoning, inventing — just like a human. Only faster. Stronger. Potentially unstoppable.

THE STAKES: The UN says AGI could cure diseases and unlock breakthroughs… or go rogue with weapons and critical infrastructure. Google DeepMind’s Demis Hassabis says it’s coming in 5–10 years.

Bottom Line: This isn’t sci-fi anymore. The sequel to “AI takes our jobs” might be “AI deletes money.” Get your popcorn.

SPACE

🌌☄️ BENNU: SPACE ROCK OF SECRETS: NASA just cracked open samples from asteroid Bennu — and found alien stardust older than the Sun, deep-space organics, and minerals forged in cosmic fire. This isn’t just a rock. It’s the universe’s diary.

PUT SIMPLY —> THERE’S AN ASTEROID IN OUR SOLAR SYSTEM THAT’S OLDER THAN THE SUN… I REPEAT… THERE’S AN ASTEROID IN OUR SOLAR SYSTEM WITH MATERIALS OLDER THAN OUR SUN……

—> WHAT’S BENNU?: Bennu is a 1,600-foot asteroid, born when a giant space boulder got smashed to pieces between Mars and Jupiter. Think: Death Star rubble meets time capsule. Scientists say it’s loaded with water-rich minerals, meaning it once carried ice that melted, reacted, and re-forged itself like a shape-shifting planet seed.

—> WHY YOU CARE: Because Bennu might explain us. The same stardust and organics inside it could have hit Earth billions of years ago, seeding the chemistry for life. Translation: every time you look up, remember — you might be made of Bennu dust.

HEALTH

🏃‍♀️⚡ 92 AND STILL SPRINTING. Most 92-year-olds race to the couch. Emma Maria Mazzenga races past world records. The Italian grandmother just ran 200 meters in 51.47 seconds — and doctors are calling her body a scientific marvel.

7e303c12 f125 4ef6 acea cac068811623Source: NYPost… Emma Maria Mazzenga is in her 90s and still doing sprints.

—> WHAT MAKES HER DIFFERENT: Her heart and lungs work like someone in their 50s. Her muscles? A cheat code. Super-sized endurance fibers to go the distance + fast-twitch fibers for explosive speed. Basically, she’s built like a hybrid Ferrari.

—> HOW SHE DID IT: Emma first ran in college, took 20 years off to raise a family, then came back at 53. Since then: 5 world records, 9 European records, 28 Italian bests. She says racing gives her “pure energy” — and it shows.

—> THE BIG IDEA: Science says exercise keeps your cells younger. Emma is proof: movement isn’t just medicine, it’s time travel.

Bottom Line: At 91, she’s out here dusting sprinters half her age. So yeah — maybe it’s not too late to lace up your sneakers.

ROBOTS // GLASSES // ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

🎙️⚡ LISTEN UP: AI GOES TO WARTammy Haddad’s Washington AI Network launched its new CTO Sessions series with Dr. Alex Miller, Chief Technology Officer of the U.S. Army.

—> ON DRONES & AI: “What you’re seeing in Europe with the drones — those are airborne IEDs. It is a bomb that can fly a hundred miles an hour. We have to get really good at countering those — using AI to detect them… and deploy countermeasures in real time.”

—> ON CHATGPT-5: Miller dismissed the hype around intelligence leaps but praised new efficiency gains: “Eventually I want to run those LLMs on soldiers’ faces with smart glasses, on their phones, and on their vehicles.”

—> ON PROCUREMENT: Forget decade-long cycles. Miller says the Army is pushing soldier-first innovation: “Our next generation command and control document is three pages… then we spend a year just getting technology into our soldier’s hands to try it and get direct feedback.”

—> ON ETHICS & POWER: “We put moral boundaries on our technology and build the engineering stops in from the start.”

—> ON CHINA: “American ingenuity is better than Chinese ingenuity. The only way we continue to deter China is to stop thinking linearly and start thinking exponentially. One soldier should be able to fly 100 or 1,000 drones — that’s the deterrent we need.”

📡 Bottom Line: AI is moving from hype to the battlefield — and the Army wants it running not in the cloud, but on the edge, in soldiers’ hands, vehicles, and smart glasses.
